Super clean and welcoming for children and families. The rooms are fun gor children with different themes. Very nice, caring, patient and respectful staff who show they listen and care about what they do. Very pleased with the care/treatment my son has received. Dr. Min has been fantastic in all she's done for treatment with my son. Definitely recommend.

This is a great dental/orthodontist practice. The staff are kind and patient. My son was very interested in their new equipment and Maria (his dental hygienist) was terrific at explaining it to him while she used it. Dr. Deng is also a wonderful pediatric dentist. We have also been very pleased with the orthodontic services of Dr. B and Taryn!

Had an appointment for 9:50 am for my 3 year old. We were running a little late due to some traffic and arrived at 9:57. I would have went straight in then but my son made a mess and I decided to clean him up before going in. Got in there at 10:02. And was told we have to cancel the appt. for being more than 10 minutes past the appt. I believe an exception could have been made for an appt. for a 3 years old. Especially when you explain yourself and its there's not much difference between 10 min. and 12 min. Granted we should of been more punctual but it just leaves a bad taste for me and we won't return. Shame because I liked our first visit here.

A wonderful experience for the child patient, little brother forced to attend, and mom. Every one was SO kind and welcoming! The hygienist took her time (as gentle) and explained everything to the kiddo. Dr. Min was so welcoming and friendly. I’m so glad we chose this practice for our family’s dental needs. The (nervous, sensory sensitive) patient got in the car after the appointment and said “that was fun!!” Thank you. We could not be more satisfied with our experience if we tried. 🥰

Everyone at Smilen Dental Group is so friendly! They totally understand the value of time and are very accommodating to a busy working mom's schedule. The most peaceful dentist appointments you will ever have. My dentist fears are non existent when I come to this office. They use a laser to fill cavities with no needles required for numbing. The office staff is kind and informative.
My 9 year old just had 4 baby teeth pulled by Dr Deng. She was so kind and accommodating to my son and his fears (He was petrified). She explained what she was doing while reassuring him that he was safe and everything would be ok. He felt no pain and was so proud of himself after.
She is absolute magic.
If you are considering a dental office for your family, this office will break the generational curse of being afraid to go to the dentist. No such thing with Smilen.

We’ve been taking both my kids since my oldest was 1 (he’s almost 7). They have always been amazing with both!
My son had an accident over the summer where his front permanent tooth fell out and I can rave about how amazing the whole staff was on the day of the accident and in the months since. They not only saved his tooth (which is a miracle in itself) but have just been so caring and warm to my son. Most kids would be petrified of the dentist with the trauma he’s been through but the staff at Smilen has made it so comfortable for him - I just really can’t say enough great things!

So many great things about this office. From a great welcoming at checkin from Jamie to my cleaning from Megan ( sorry if spelled wrong), whom was great and helped soothed my fear of the dentist and did a great job, to Dr Sue with her checkup , whom always answers any questions or concern. I can honestly say this is the most comfortable I’ve ever been at the dentist. Not just as the parent of a child who is a patient, but also as a patient myself. Every member of the staff has such great, positive energy and they have done an amazing job making my little one feel comfortable during each of her appointments—whether it was an emergency broken tooth or her routine cleanings. Our visit to Smilen Dental was absolutely amazing! My three year old child has always been anxious about dentist appointments, but the entire experience was a complete turnaround. From the moment we walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming, putting my child at ease right away.
Our Hygienist was phenomenal with my child,
so patient and gentle, explaining everything in a way that made my little one feel comfortable and calm. They even had fun distractions to keep my child entertained during the exam!
I was so impressed with how the team handled my child’s fears—by the end of the visit, my child said Dr. Su was her favorite dentist! Dr. Min and her staff are INCREDIBLE! They are caring, attentive and QUICK! Everything I could ask for in a pediatric dentist for my child. Brought my son for his first appointment on August 29th and had a wonderful experience. Upon arrival, the staff was welcoming and sweet. I was especially appreciative of the opportunity to have a link to new patient forms texted to me so I could complete ahead of check-in since my toddler wanted to explore the office as soon as we arrived.

My one year old slipped, fell and hurt is front tooth. As a new mom, I was so scared and had no idea what to do. Once I called Smilen, I was directed to the on call dentist. Dr. Deng was incredible. She helped me get through one of the scariest moments of my life. I was able to send her pictures and her response was so incredibly fast. I am so happy to have found a place I know my baby will be treated to well. We finally met on his first visit to exam to the tooth… she was a delight. The entire staff treated my boy so kindly. I highly recommend all parents to take their babies here!

The entire team is professional and caring. Specifically, Ashley, who is my dental hygienist is personable, competent, and always puts me at ease. Dr. Sue as I mentioned in previous reviews is caring , competent and so calming!!! Initially , my insurance was out of network, but I decided that even if I had to pay more , it was well worth it! My daughter fell and chipped her front two teeth late yesterday afternoon. She was so upset. We had an 8:40 appointment this morning to fix the damage. She says they look better than before! Very good for preventative care but if you’re getting older and having problems, then this may not be the best practice. I’m switching dentists after two procedures which caused me more pain and did not resolve my issues in a timely manner. Calls made were not returned and a referral to an endodontist was not made in a timely fashion. I’m sad to leave them after 12 years, but I need to get relief from dental pain.

We are beyond happy with Smilen! My daughter is not an easy patient and everyone in the office is so good with her! Our hygienist, Kim, is absolutely amazing and goes above and beyond to work with us and help my daughter to have a successful appointment. Dr Min is wonderful as well and very professional and kind with my child. I even go to Smilen for myself (even though my insurance doesn’t cover) because i am so happy with them and have not had luck finding a good dentist.

Dr. Min was my dental physician, and she was friendly, caring, and highly professional. My previous dentist was fantastic. When he retired, I had no idea how to find someone like him. A good friend recommended Smilen Dental. From my first visit to Smilen, I was amazed by the modern technology. More importantly, each person who has provided care to me has been has friendly and very well trained. They explain everything they are going to do, and answer whatever questions I have. There is no sense that they are rushing to the next patient. I trust Dr. Sue and each member of the Smilen Dental staff completely. I feel very fortunate. I recommend Smilen Dental highly. I live in New Haven. The drive to Wallingford is not long at all; it’s easy. I look forward to going to appointments at Smilen Dental.

I would highly NOT recommend this dental practice at all. If I could rate less than 1 star, I would. I have never been so disgusted with an office and billing department. The billing department is extremely rude and inconsiderate. Especially when working with families and children. I have one of the best dentist insurances, which reimburses at one of the highest rates for billing CPt codes. They billed me for an entire cleaning and exam and X-rays for my 2 1/2 year old when in reality, the only thing the hygienist did was open his mouth, look inside and give a fluoride treatment and I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, yet they proceed the full bill when X-rays we’re not taken nor there was not an exam or cleaning , just fluoride treatment. So I refused to pay the remaining amount and they had the audacity to try to take me to small claims court, in which the amount of money they used to hire an attorney and enter a small claims fee in, was more than what I owed on the bill. Plus, I was going to pay the remainder when I rescheduled my next appointment. Yet, after the disgusting attempt they made to get their little bit of money for treatment that was never completed, made me lose all faith and trust in this practice. So I hope that the way they handled this and this money was worth losing a family of 4 patients and countless other referrals from

I have been taking my 8 year old son to Smilen since he was 2. I went to another local dentist, and they had no bedside manor and wanted to do some very invasive procedures on my then 2 year old son. I decided to go for a second opinion, and am glad that I did. The staff is wonderful. We have even done ortho services to correct his issues. Now, he has a great smile and it required no surgery like the first dentist said.

I love this place! Thank you so much for your kindness and how great you are with my kids! I was 20 minutes late in the morning with my two kids, running and stress for being late. They both had appointments and they were great accommodating and letting me in and filling the paper inside the room. Also the doctors were great with my kids, and they even didn't cry. For my son, was his first visit. My daughter loves the place as well. Thank you!

Both my daughters have been coming to this office since they were one. They are now 5 and 7. We are welcomed warmly with every visit, and all the staff makes us feel welcome. They show a genuine interest and ask about school and vacations and keep the kids comfortable. My daughter has had two teeth pulled with zero tears because they make her feel safe throughout the entire procedure. No surprises with billing ever. 10/10 recommend!

I've been going here since it was Meslin's Dentistry and the staff are still just as nice and accommodating as always.

I brought my very anxious child to Smilen for her first cleaning. I couldn't have chosen a better dental group for her. They were fully engaged and so patient with her, from the front desk to the doctor. I never write reviews but I always read them. It really was a 5 star experience.

Smilen Dental group is the best! My whole family goes here and every visit is pleasant, stress free and helpful. My oldest just finished with braces through Smilen's orthodontic team. Dr. Bherwani was such a great support through this process. He and his team made these last two years productive and pleasant for my teen. They helped her to stick to the rules and care for her teeth. Her smile is perfect! Thank you so much Smilen Dental Team!!!

Started going here years ago after Dr. Meslin was providing pediatric dental care to our kids. Was happy when they started seeing adults and moved from my former dentist over to their growing staff, they are terrific!

Saw my son for an emergency visit right after covid restrictions loosened...called back for another appointment and now all of a sudden they are not accepting "new patients" with my insurance yet I get constant emails saying to call them for an appointment.... Only took us out of convenience when money wasn't coming in? Not cool. To the woman to answered my call I know this is not your fault but the the dentist... Shame on you.

Billing department messed up and refused to fix a billing error that ended in them billing the wrong insurance type for the procedure done. The people working in billing don't know all of the codes needed in the medical billing industry I learned because they submitted medical in as dental billing which then was covered by such at a much lower amount. Watch out for their billing department because their refusal to fix their mistake will be you paying for it!!!
You are correct medical and dental don't overlap. In this case you submitted dental codes for a medical procedure. You could have done a whole lot more but did not wish to do so. When instructed how to fix the problem it was met with a no were not going to do that. Your staff when asked didn't even know there was a difference.

So very happy that I switched to Smilen Dental. The staff was extremely friendly from the front desk right up to the dentists coming out to meet me in person. The quality staff was aware of what my dental insurance covered and didn't cover which was a pleasant surprise compared to my former dental office. My son's teeth looked amazing and I left with a bill that showed me exactly what was done and the cost. Thank you Smilen!

Excellent dentristry. Needed front tooth repaired due to chipping it during pandemic quarantine. It was fixed quickly and looks incredible. I was so grateful.

Smilen Dentistry goes above and beyond to make you feel comfortable & safe. My son had to have 6 teeth pulled all at a young age. Dr Min is the best. The assistants are also so caring in giving reassurance and making you feel at ease. Highly recommend.

I love taken my son there Dr Min is the best doctor for teeth specially with the kids I wouldn’t take my son any where else but to Smilen Dental Group Kim is my son dentist when he gets his teeth cleaned and she is very lovable and caring for all people she take care of on the cleaning I’m not sure what her specialty is but every one at that office is very nice and caring Doctor Min stole my son heart he really love her and she had a challenge when my son started going there at 18 months I think of them as family every body should go there. Going to the dentist was never my favorite thing to do. I have not so great teeth. Doctor Sue and Kim at Smilen dental have changed all that. They fixed me up and continue to keep me on the right track. I am very grateful and actually enjoy the experience. They are the best.
